Project Overview
Our cultivation facility is based in the landlocked and entirely surrounded by the South African Kingdom of Lesotho. The license itself is issued in Lesotho to produce a variety of cannabis products. Our license is valid for a renewable minimum 10 year cycle. This allows us to focus on high-quality yield for medicinal purposes from the first step of planning design and development.
The land parcels are ideally located in Maseru and not too far from the CBD. This gives us easy access to various essential amenities including human capital for both work and research. Lesotho as a country enjoys favorable high altitude which fosters a climate of relatively low humidity for clean and organic growing in a pristine mountainous region. As a developing country, the symbiotic relationship with our investment is very commercially focussed with a social impact ethos. We are thus able to take advantage of the low input cost environment and advantageous tax rate. Our officers are an agglomeration of skilled local people with excellent local networks and other foreign nationals with international networks in place.

Social Impact
CGI PlC’s commitment to ongoing communication and consultation with the community, via Liaison Representative Committees (LRC), is working very well. Through these communication forums CGI Plc has been alerted to and will subsequently be funding numerous community needs – from improving water supply and sanitation, waste management to planting fruit trees in the village.
According to our estimations, CGI PlC will initially be creating more than 50 permanent jobs for this facility, including locally trained growers while in full production. In Lesotho's rural economy, one employed member of the family supports as many as ten people in the extended household.
CGI PLC is creating a portfolio of cannabis and hemp-related Intellectual Property assets that meet clear commercial needs which offer our shareholders best-in-class returns. CGI’s long term strategy is to be the global leader in the production of medical, recreational cannabinoid extracts, oils, nutraceuticals, and pharmaceuticals with a solid set of highly developed IP assets. These assets will be licensed to companies capable of delivering our revolutionary cannabis based products to the global market place.
