Nthabiseng has been at different times and places, a personal assistant, administrator, personnel manager as well as entrepreneur and community development practitioner. Nthabiseng has managed not only her home and cared for two children but has managed to contribute in many different manners to the community within Lesotho, Rome, USA, Mali, Zambia, the Occupied Palestinian Territories and DRC Congo. Nthabiseng developed the formulae, produced, packaged, advertised and marketed “Palesa Aromatics” skincare products, developing a specific brand identity and achieving notoriety within her area of action. Her work at UNICEF was a period of set up, where herself, an admin assistant, a driver and a country director set up and developed what became one of the most successful UN agencies in Lesotho. Nthabiseng Maretlane Recalde is currently a free-lance entrepreneur and works as a coordinator of CANAMED (LTD) PTY a Medical Cannabis enterprise based in Lesotho. Nthabiseng is also engaged in many community and charity activities in Lesotho. She is a Deputy Chairperson of the Women Association responsible to raise funds for the local Orphanages. Nthabiseng Maretlane Recalde is a Mosotho national and has spent much of her life overseas accompanying her husband during his career as a UN diplomat. She speaks, Sesotho, English and Italian and holds a BA in Development Studies from the University Of South Africa (UNISA).
